Auto-Add-All new fields to an existing Stacker
T
Tristan Scifo
We regularly add to our database with new fields. We don't need any of them to not be available in stacker (you can always control access after being available anyway). But it's a pain to have to go to each of our 50 tabs and manually ensure every new field is added.
When you create a new stacker interface, you can opt to have all fields sync. Please allow us to have all NEW field also sync automatically.

Shortcut to turn on all new fields with schema update
A
Amanda Shipka
Whenever I'm updating the schema, it's usually to add new fields. There should be a shortcut to turn them all on instead of having to a) forget to do it, and go to add it to the app, b) get frustrated that I didn't do it the first time and have to go back into settings c) go in and turn on the ones I remember and then d) go back when I inevitably forgot one on some table somewhere

More efficient process for "turning on" new fields
D
Dan Lewis
At the moment you need to remember to "turn on" a field when you add it. This is really frustrating.
I suggest that after updating the schema you should just show a form of all the new fields and allow the user to toggl the ones they want.

Enable all fields by default after syncing a new schema

Reason: it's frustrating when you are building a new app/ data base side by side to keep on enabling all fields after a schema update

I agree, and from my memories it wasn't like that a few month ago, that's a new things and a loss of time...

Great idea, I also this this is really time consuming, especially because most of the time adding a field in stacker is the main reason for running a sync
